Dihydroboldenone, commonly referred to as 1-testosterone, is a 5-alpha reduced variant of the steroid Boldenone. The absence of 5-alpha reduction in this compound allows users to take it without experiencing the adverse side effects related to this chemical reaction, but it also diminishes the associated benefits. Boldenone is not the only steroid similar to Dihydroboldenone; in fact, Dihydroboldenone is chemically identical to Methenolone, with the exception of the 1-methylation found in Methenolone. The 1-methylation was added to Methenolone to enhance its oral bioavailability, which means that Dihydroboldenone is not effectively absorbed when taken orally.
